Applied Research Center for Computer Networks (ARCCN)
Applied Research Center for Computer Networks (ARCCN) is the first Russian research center created to develop technologies and products for computer networks of the new generation. Since 2012, ARCCN is a resident of Skolkovo Foundation (IT-cluster).
ARCCN’s main priority is to conduct researches in the area of computer networks and internet technologies in Russia, as well as to discover and develop the most breakthrough computer networks technologies of the new generation.
Two main research directions of ARCCN are Software-Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).

ARCCN today:
- The only Competency Center of SDN in Russia
- The “growing point” for SDN researches in Russia;
- Transfer support for SDN technologies in Russia;
- Training of qualified stuff for SDN R&D;
- National pilot area for research and development in the field of SDN.
In addition to R&D, ARCCN is engaged in various demos and tests of the effectiveness of new technologies for the challenges of industry and business, with a special Testing Center created in Center for this purpose.
ARCCN implements joint projects in the field of network technologies with Rostelecom, Intel, Voentelekom, Huawei, EMC, Rosatom, Sberbank, etc.
ARCCN had successfully launched two startups: NFWare, which develops a virtual services library for network operators, and WiMark Systems, which develops a vendor–agnostic platform for managing Wi-Fi networks and devices.
ARCCN solutions have been successfully tested in the laboratories of Voentelekom and Rostelecom.
